YouTube - ‘Clarkson for PM’ petition response

YouTube - ‘Clarkson for PM’ petition response.

Ah well we all gave it our best, maybe next time. However at least Downing Street has a little humor, not sure its the appropriate time. I’m sure Clarkson will comment on this in the next series and if you miss the next series it’ll be on Dave a trillion times anyway.

Geared Up

I’ve decided to rename my blog, I had no idea what to name it, so I just elaborated on that fact. All the changes I’m making are to gear up for University where I hope to be blogging more often. Holidays nearly over and there is only a few more weeks for me to carry on relaxing, so new interesting posts about everything other than what my blog status is will be here soon.

In the mean time I have a couple of links in which you should try:

  • Link One: This is a new blog of an old flat mate of mine, called Jon Quinn, he has a interesting state of mind, similar to an old taxi driver who seems to have well thought out opinions on almost anything, it is of course ‘The Weblog of a bloke named Jon‘ defiantly worth a read.
  • Link Two: A collective database of streaming videos. It’s the OVGuide, a pretty nifty website that complies most online streaming video websites for your entertainment pleasure, most websites it finds are usually free -_^.

And on that bombshell its time to end the post, until next time… good bye.

    Bio Update

I still haven’t managed to complete my blog posts from months ago, apologies there. I’ve been relaxing over the summer without really blogging at all. My posts are all waiting completion when i decided to pick it up again when I restart University. I have plenty in the works and until then I’ve just given my bio a revamp.

Thanks to the people who have been reading my blog, I just reached the 1500 mark with 400+ reading my working top music, thanks again!

The Hall or Fame and Shame

So I’ve just come up with a new idea, observe the two links at the top of my page. The Good & The Bad, these pages will slowly over time be filled with certain items, places, people etc that suits the title of the page. I stole/borrowed the idea from last nights episode of Top Gear with the return of the cool wall. So stay tuned to see what will be going into the Halls of Fame and Shame. All items will have an explanation to why they are so terrible or brilliant.

Updates from previous rantings about what’s good and bad will also appear shortly.

    June 23rd - 29th (Weekly Update)

So firstly, webpages I found this week include this, The Dickapedia. Yes thats right, it’s a whole wiki dedicated to public figures, celebrities or politicians that have in some way annoyed or bewilder the person who wrote the damn thing. It says at the bottom a product of 236.com , which if you’ve never visited is a ridiculous site run by a bunch of americans who talk about a load of nonsense. So in respect for people who enjoy something more interesting than the ramblings of 236.com I give you this link.

Now another webpage I came across this week was JamStudio.com fantastic engineering here in creating an online mixing studio. It’s a rather nifty tool for that spot of time wasting, you can also sign up and save your little tunes to eventually come back to when you have another hour or so of boredom whilst your waiting for Top Gear to come on or be it that your just boring.

So pressing on to television from the past week or so, few items of interest include the Coldplay gig at the BBC which was excellent for a free gig. Don’t bother watching anything from Glastonbury as you will be wasting your time trying to fast forward to something interesting like the Editors or that random guy that walks around aimlessly interviewing people. iPLayer BetaMoving on, the new series of Top Gear started last weekend, which was a relief to finally see something good from BBC two for a change, god damn you Graham Norton (note excellent candidate for the dickapedia), episode two is on Sunday the 29th at 8:00 pm which is tomorrow in fact. All of which are available on the BBC’s iPlayer (if you live in the UK), who have also just launched a new beta version which also combines radio as-well as remembering where you were last on a any given program.

A final note of interest comes in the form of an ebay item, which is an understatement. It’s Ian Usher, who is selling his life on ebay, however what I want to highlight is the amount of false bids, you nasty people. This guy is risking everything on this bid and placing bids so high and to remove them is very harsh!. Good luck to the chap, there is only a few hours left on this deal which you can find here.

Thats pretty much it for this weeks update, however more blog posts should be coming soon hopefully… maybe.. eventually… stay tuned.

    A new lease of life.

So apologies to the people who actually started to read my blog, I’ve received a few e-mails from some people about the lack of updates. I’m pleased to announce I have a few posts in the works including:

    • One on the adventures of Europe.
    • Weekly updates on anything interesting I find or do (Sundays & Mondays).
    • Few more experiments to blog similar to ones I’ve done before.
    • The overlooked problems of the classic iPhone and were Apple made a marketing blunder.
Also a new standard theme, I shall be making a new banner shortly, all coming soon stay tuned.

    European Tour

So I’m traveling through Europe for the next week. I shall be writing up an interesting post about my adventure. I’m going to try and prove that students can spend minimal amounts of money and still manage to travel to over more than four countries. The journey starts tomorrow from Leeds/Bradford airport onto Dublin Ireland for the night then to Basel in Switzerland for two days including a day trip to Geneva, then a night over In Stockholm Sweden, flying to Germany after for two nights in Berlin and then eventually finishing up in London for the last day.

All the flights and accommodation has come to less than £200, however there is means and ways in which to achieve such a low cost and adequate quality accommodation. All these will be blogged after my return, to help those students planning on traveling.

    Having a Barbecue ?

A short blog, but this is why the british should do a BBQ properly instead of buying the disposable ones that really don’t actually work that well. A little short story first, around 10 people ranging from 17 to 22 years of age decided to hang out at a friends house and have a BBQ. This is why we probably wont be doing that again for a while:

Destroyed: One Table, One Chair, One Disposable BBQ, One Plate, One Can of Carling,One Spatular, One Mans Ego

He finally found out that Wood is flammable! and just because were British it doesn’t mean that when we come to having a barbecue the cheapest option is always the best.

Well the general consensus is that Senator Obama has the popular vote. After the damaging popularity of president Bush the republicans being far behind in the opinion polls. When asking my friends who they would vote for if they were american citizens, the common idea was who to vote against. More than sixty percent said anything other than the republicans.

Choosing between Obama and Clinton is set out in a few ways:

    • Gordon Brown, who’s popularity is nothing to boast about, has close personal ties with the Clinton family.
    • President Clinton himself isn’t a popular man especially when being used as a tool in the Clinton Campaign.
    • People are also annoyed at Hillary Clintons desperation and negative campaigning and especially the stories made up about he travels as first lady.
    • Most of the the British people also believe that Obama is a breath of fresh air, a family man, an honesty man, they also have more sympathy towards him.
    • People also generally like Obamas political stance and policies compared to Hillary.
All these may seem more pro Obama however he has kept a level of high end professionalism which are damaging towards Clinton’s Campaign Trail, described as desperate and disillusioned. On the other hand it is believed that if Hillary Clinton won the democratic race, which is becoming increasingly unlikely, the Obama supports would vote for John Mc Cain adding adding “Anything but another damn Clinton”.

    The problem with being nice

So I experienced at first hand tonight one of my best mates getting robbed. So Ill give the story then the theory, my friend was mugged and robbed of a crate of beer outside an alcohol retail shop. However the big problem is that my friend was confronted by a chav for a cigarette in which to avoid a bad situation he willingly offered.

The chav being as he is took the opportunity to throw him against the wall and steal his alcohol and cigarettes. Is this what we face, being nice to avoid conflict but doing so suffering for it. I ask this why should the better people suffer for the insubordination of the chav nation.

I say to protect yourselves take a friend and don’t be too friendly, chavs have a one track mind and will do as much as they can to steal your worthy possessions.

Thanks for reading my late night mad rant.
